The Chris Carrino Foundation for FSHD is a non-profit organization working towards improving the lives of those affected by Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD) by funding scientific research of the disease. FSHD is a degenerative muscle disease for which currently has no treatment or cure. With it’s efforts, The Chris Carrino Foundation for FSHD encourages, promotes and funds scientific and clinical research of FSHD. Our goal is to conduct fundraising efforts and solicit grants and contributions from individuals, private foundations and others, for the purpose of sponsoring research to help advance the study and understanding of FSHD, with the hope of one day identifying a treatment and cure for the disease. We disseminate information about FSHD, encourage additional public support and raise awareness of the necessity for more research funding.
